Building a business in Lake Mac? Switch on your lasers to get the cash flowing

The first few years in business can feel like there’s a lot going in and not so much coming out the other end in the form of revenue. Building a business in Lake Mac is the same as anywhere else. You have to learn all the processes, technology, and day-to-day operations, which consumes a big chunk of your time. After a while, it can leave you feeling like it’s a bottomless pit, but your business might be at that point where you need to think about pivoting from brand building to revenue building.

Have a think about some of our top tips to take your business to the next level…the moolah level.

Building a business in Lake Mac

Turn on your laser’s

You’ll know what I mean if you’re working for yourself because every business owner gets stuck in day-to-day activities. It’s these distractions that prevent us from working on our business and not in it. It’s extremely hard to focus on revenue-building areas when you don’t give yourself time to do it. Get your lasers on and work towards mastering the art of distraction and managing your time better so you can take your business to the next level.

Laser mind

Once your lasers are on, you’ll realise that revenue opportunity isn’t in the day-to-day tasks and actions, even though it’s where we tend to spend most of our time. Here are some ideas to help get you started on your superhero journey.

  • Start by identifying activities, actions or routines in your business that are non-revenue generating, but take up way too much of your time. Remove or reduce these so you can laser in on your income streams. It might be tasks like checking emails which can be reduced to twice a day only. Your business won’t fall over if you make these changes. Plan ahead and do some tasks once a week instead of daily. You’re on the hunt for time, so be ruthless.

  • Social media can be like a mouse wheel. Reduce your time on social media by scheduling posts for your business, and then shutting it down. I’ve also gone to the point of removing the Facebook app from my phone for the day.

  • One of my favourites is to only work on money-making areas of the business. This means everything you work on has to have something to do with revenue earning. For example, give yourself 4 hours a week to focus on revenue. Some examples include:
    • Review your pricing structure
    • Add a new service
    • Create a bundle deal
    • Outsource basic tasks
    • Plan out calendar events to attract new business
    • Go paperless with bookkeeping

  • Something I do religiously is to work early in the day. Work when others are asleep, when you have fewer distractions and when your productivity is higher. This is the key to working smarter not longer. Free up your time in the afternoon to do things with the kids. Let’s face it, we are less productive as we get tired, so use your brainpower, your laser focus, when it’s performing it’s best.

Revenue-generating ideas

When you find your laser focus you’ll be amazed at what’s possible for your business. Idea generation happens when we free up time and space in our mind to explore what’s possible. Not every idea is achievable, but it definitely gives you the opportunity to narrow down your ideas to the ones which you can make happen.

Turn on your lasers, Lake Mac is an amazing city full of opportunity for growth. It doesn’t matter if your business is big or small, the process is the same. Switch on your lasers and give yourself that freedom to create revenue-generating ideas and make your business fly.
