Club Charlestown is proud to announce the opening of it’s new Courtyard area. With a focus on families, and supporting our community, this area has been designed to allow children to play and parents to relax. Fancy grabbing something to eat al fresco? The courtyard has you covered. With table seating, and instant access to an innovative container kitchen inside the courtyard, you can relax and enjoy the delicious street style menu at the same time.
The courtyard has taken over 18 months to plan and create. Regulars to Club Charlestown will remember the exterior turning space for dropping off and picking up. The CEO, Michael Gray, could only see potential and his vision for this underultilised space has finally become a reality. Perfectly positioned next to the bowling greens this massive outdoor undercover area, ‘The Courtyard’ will quickly become the new hot spot for families in Lake Mac.
On Saturday, 5th December, our Mayor, Councillor Kay Fraser and Jodie Harrison MP, officially opened the area. The Courtyard can easily accommodate up to 120 guests. With a bar located just a few steps away adjacent to the bowling greens, visitors have a selection of beers, ales, wines and soft drinks. Why not watch the bowling while your beer is poured!
Perfect for families
We loved listening to the live music from the stage. Small kids will enjoy the fenced play area located in one corner. It has play equipment ideal for younger kids who can climb through the interlinking tunnels.
Styled with plants, a high roof, lighting and atmosphere, delivers a comfortable setting for a weekend lunch or dinner with the family.
On the menu you’ll enjoy choices such as wild mushroom arancini, a smoked salmon wellness bowl or soft shell tacos filled with tempura prawn, Korean chicken or smokey BBQ jackfruit. There really is something for everyone. Have you got a sweet tooth? You can try the mouthwatering desserts, and café style drinks menu as well.
The Courtyard kitchen is open from Friday to Sunday from 11.30pm to 2pm for lunch, and 5.30pm-8pm for dinner.
The possibilities are endless for events and nights out at Club Charlestown’s new courtyard. If you haven’t been out for a while, you now have a great excuse and a new venue to take the family.
