Dine and discover NSW: How to access your new vouchers! (finished)

Dine and discover NSW is really going to help our struggling hospitality and tourism sectors across Lake Macquarie. This new scheme the NSW government is rolling out across the state will help stimulate the dining, arts & tourism economy. It’s a great way to encourage locals to start venturing out and about and supporting local COVID-Safe businesses. From booking a table at your favourite family restaurant to enjoying a night at the movies. There are so many options and ways to safely enjoy these vouchers together.

What do I need to do?

You need to be registered with MyServicesNSW to be eligible for the vouchers. Download the Service NSW App and make sure you’re registered ahead of the roll-out.

How many do I get?

Every person aged 18 years and over, living in NSW, who is registered with MyServicesNSW will each receive a total of 6 x $25 vouchers. There will be two categories for the Dine & Discover NSW vouchers.

  • 3 of the vouchers can be used for eating in restaurants, cafes, bars, pubs, and clubs 7 days a week. This excludes any public holidays.
  • The other 3 vouchers are to be used for entertainment and recreation. This includes cultural institutions, live music, and arts venues. You can use these 7 days a week, excluding public holidays.

If you’ve already spent the 4 vouchers that were issued at the start of 2021, you’ll find that the next two vouchers will have automatically appeared on your Service NSW app. One $25 voucher is for Dine and the other $25 for Discover. If you haven’t got round to applying for your vouchers yet, this is the perfect time to apply for all 6

All vouchers must be used by 30th June 2022.

How do I use my vouchers?

When you receive your vouchers you’ll be able to search for participating businesses where you can use them via the Service NSW app or on the ServiceNSW website. You’ll need to take the vouchers with you when you head out and redeem them in person. They can only be used once.

The vouchers won’t be accepted in retail, tobacco, alcohol, gambling, and accommodation businesses.

Being COVID-Safe

This isn’t an invitation for life to resume to normal ‘pre-COVID-19’ because let’s face it, life has changed. The COVIDSafe way of life that we all know very well still applies. In fact, it’s more important now than ever. If we, as a community, continue to remain vigilant and follow the health advice, our hospitality and tourism sector can start rebuilding their businesses. This is our opportunity to help them in a COVIDSafe way.
