LEAP Museum is a creation of two Lake Macquarie parents with a desire to do something innovative, and of course fun, for families in this region and beyond.
Our objective is simple: to provide screen-free, hands-on content that will entertain, educate, challenge, and inspire. We're equal parts play centre, games arcade, and science museum.
Our games and toys are suitable mostly for kids around primary school age, but we welcome anybody of any age or ability - there’s something for everyone, grown-ups too.
We encourage adults to explore our space, alongside their children where possible, working together to create, discuss, experiment, and play.
We're here every day during NSW school holidays from 10am-3pm. See below for term time hours.

Such an awesome play space of curiosity and discovery. Met our friends there today with 7 kids from toddler age to 9 years old. We had such a great morning, lunch at a local cafe then back for more play. I cannot recommend this place enough. I myself am a preschool teacher and really wish there were more spaces like this for our kids. Particularly was awesome for our neurodiverse kids, rooms are quieter, not overwhelming, and had a real focus on play and exploration. My daughter loved the lego room and fairy garden.
