Getting to the skate park
Charlestown Skate Park is on the corner of Frederick Street and the Pacific Highway at Charlestown. You’ve probably driven past it 1,000 times and seen a helmet pop up over the edge now and then. It’s easy to spot from the road, with the skate park sitting right alongside the busy Pacific Highway. There is parking nearby, making it a convenient spot to stop for a skate, scooter or BMX session. Whether you’re bringing the kids for a quick ride after school or stopping by to watch the more experienced riders, it’s a familiar local spot that’s easy to find.
Experienced users
This skate park is ideal for more experienced skaters, BMX riders and scooter riders looking to challenge themselves and put their skills to the test. With three large bowls ranging from a 1.2m to a 3m drop, this skate park is definitely not for the faint-hearted! There’s plenty of space around the edges to sit back and watch the action, making it a great spot for parents and spectators too. With some shelter and lighting available, the park can be enjoyed during the day and into the evening, giving experienced riders plenty of opportunities to get out and practise their skills.
