There’s something so deliciously festive about these Christmas Cream Cheese Mints! Add something different to your Christmas catch-up with friends or serve them alongside your cheese board. Bursting with colourful sweetness and a refreshing peppermint crunch, they’re easy to make ahead of time. You can even package them up as little gifts for family and friends. Simple sweetness never looked so festive on the table!
What you’ll need
- 125g cream cheese (half a block)
- 4 cups icing sugar (approximately 450g, so grab a 500g packet)
- Christmas sprinkles
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- Peppermint crunch
How to make Christmas Cream Cheese Mints
- Beat the cream cheese and peppermint extract together until smooth. We cut the cream cheese into smaller pieces first to make mixing easier.
- Add 2 cups of icing sugar and beat on low. Add the remaining 2 cups and continue mixing until combined. Go slowly to avoid an icing sugar explosion!
- Fold through approximately 2 tablespoons of Christmas sprinkles. Roll the mixture into balls, making them whatever size you like.
- Pop the balls in the fridge for 5 minutes while you prepare your peppermint crunch and line a tray. Roll each ball in the crunch, then use a fork to gently flatten and create those classic lines.
- Leave the mints on the bench for about an hour to firm up. Transfer them to the fridge to harden. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week, or freeze them to get ahead with your Christmas preparations.
A sweet addition to your Christmas table
We love making no-bake Christmas treats, especially the ones you can prepare ahead of time. Add these little festive sweets to your Christmas table. Bring them out when friends pop over, or serve them as an after-dinner mint on Christmas night.
