Experience the thrilling boat and jet ski races, live music, bustling markets, classic car shows, surfing, the Morisset Show, and Rodeo. Plus plenty of family-friendly fun and kids’ entertainment.

Catch all the action at Let’s Surf, a Pro Junior Surf competition taking place at Redhead Beach. Showcasing Lake Macquarie’s stunning coastline, the event gives rising stars a pathway to the World Junior Surf Championships. Head down to the beach and cheer on the next generation of surfing talent!

Experience the adrenaline of the Australian Formula Powerboat GP, where speed and skill collide on the water. Watch as these powerful boats hit extreme speeds, delivering explosive starts, sharp hairpin turns, and daring overtakes. Feel the adrenaline as the Offshore Superboat Championships roar into Lake Mac Action Fest! With new boats, powerful set-ups, and even more horsepower, the Round 1 season opener promises a spectacular weekend of racing.
Get up close to the action at the Empire Marina pit area, where you can meet the drivers, or pick your perfect vantage point along the lake. From Eleebana to Warners Bay and Speers Point, with the start/finish line at Marmong Point.
Sat 18th & Sun 19th October | Morisset Lake Mac Agricultural Show
9 am – 9 pm Sat, 9 am – 4 pm Sun | Morisset Showground
Enjoy two jam-packed days of family fun at the Morisset Lake Macquarie Agricultural Show, a true country celebration featuring horses, dogs, cattle, poultry, and goats. Explore the very best of local art, horticulture, craft, cooking, and fresh produce.
Saturday night lights up with a full rodeo program and spectacular fireworks. At the same time, across the weekend, you’ll find carnival rides, showbags, market stalls, and food vans. Live local entertainment, woodchopping, the Kate Clancy Horse Show, whip-cracking displays, and plenty more!

Speers Point Park will come alive as vintage, classic, custom, and muscle cars, hot rods, and motorbikes roll in for the Lake Mac Action Fest.
Take part in the competition for top trophies and lucky car prizes. Soak up the vibes with live music from DJ Vinnie, and enjoy a great mix of food trucks, coffee vans, and market stalls.
Sun 19th October | Fernleigh 15
7:30 am | Adamstown to Belmont Fernleigh Track
The Fernleigh 15 is back! Run, walk, or roll along the iconic Fernleigh Track. Take in the stunning surrounds of this former rail line, now one of Newcastle and Lake Macquarie’s most loved running and riding trails.
This 15km point-to-point event from Adamstown to Belmont offers exclusive access. The entire Fernleigh Track is closed to the public for the duration of the race.
