Make a night of it

It’s more than simply walking around looking at Christmas lights. Rides run from 6 pm, including the Ferris Wheel, Carousel, Tea Cups, Swing Chair, and Superslide. Enjoy a selection of food stalls serving everything from wood-fired pizza and burgers to Greek, Mexican, donuts, and Christmas treats. Santa photos are also available during the Christmas season, making it a great opportunity to tick off a family photo while everyone is already in the festive spirit.

Plan your Christmas lights visit

The Christmas Lights Spectacular is open from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm, with last entry at 9:30 pm. The Gardens recommend allowing at least two hours to enjoy the lights, food, and rides. However, you can easily spend longer if the kids want to go around again. Tickets are available online, with family and individual ticket options. Rides are an additional cost. The event is outdoors, so check the weather before you head off and dress the kids for a night of walking and exploring.

A festive night out beyond Lake Mac

It’s a chance to get everyone out of the house, enjoy some Christmas magic, and make a night of it in the Hunter Valley.
