The Living Smart Festival returns to Speers Point Park on Saturday 19 September. Celebrating its 15th year as Lake Macquarie’s largest free community event and one of Australia’s biggest sustainability festivals. Drawing more than 15,000 people to the region, the festival brings together a vibrant mix. This includes local artists, delicious food trucks, fresh local produce and hands-on community activities. All designed to inspire simple and practical ways to live more sustainably. Headlining the 2026 program is YouTube sensation, author and upcycling expert Beau Miles. Beau will share his unique take on sustainability and give festival-goers the chance to get involved in a separate hands-on workshop.
