Lambton Pool is a much-loved hidden gem just 20–40 minutes from many parts of Lake Macquarie and Newcastle. Opening times and visitor info
From December to January, the pool operates from 5:30 am to 8 pm, with slightly shorter hours during the shoulder season until 7 pm. Entry fees apply for visitors aged 4 and over, and waterslide wristbands are available for $6.20 per hour per person (as at 17/4/2026). Pools, slides, and water play for all ages
There’s something for everyone, from a heated 50m swimming pool for laps and free swimming, to a dedicated shallower learners/toddlers pool for younger children. Kids can also enjoy the exciting aquatic playground, complete with a tipping water bucket and a small slide. The giant waterslide is always a crowd favourite for those chasing a bit more thrill and excitement!
Facilities for an easy family day out
If you’re planning to stay a while, the pool is very well set up. You’ll find BBQ facilities, heated showers, shaded seating, and wide grassy areas perfect for laying down a picnic rug. You’ll also find a kiosk on-site serving classic favourites like hot chips and ice cream. Everyone will be fuelled throughout the day with tasty treats.
