Set perfectly in its surroundings, the playground at Murrays Beach has been well thought out. The natural bush setting provides a perfect space to relax and take it easy while the kids play. Enclosed by tall trees providing natural shade throughout the day. If you haven’t taken a trip down the road into Murrays Beach for a while, then this is the perfect excuse for a drive.
Arriving at Murrays Beach Park Playground
From the main roundabout at Swansea, drive in the direction of Sydney on the A43. Vere left when you see the exit for Murrays Beach. Go right at the roundabout onto Old Pacific Highway, and then left at the next roundabout onto Jetty Point Drive. Follow this road along until you see a left-hand turn labelled Lake Forest Drive. You will see the playground on your right-hand side. If using Sat Nav the address is 90 Lake Forest Drive.
You’ll find 15 parking spaces including a designated disabled parking space running along the side of the playground.
Make new friends
This playground has been designed to fit perfectly into this area. With wooden play equipment and landscaped gardens, this playground has a natural feel. There’s a nest swing, a perfect place to make friends, as well as a baby swing and swing for older children.
Use your imagination
The totem poles that slot together in a pyramid shape provide a place for imagination to run wild. Close to a little wooden bridge where you can avoid the troll and large balancing logs there’s a lot of space to create a fantasy world.
Climb, jump & slide
Climb into the top of the enclosed slide and reappear at the bottom of the sandstone wall. Here they’ll find a climbing frame with netting. Kids can use the rope to pull themselves back up to the top, or they can take the steps or the slope. The choice is theirs!
Amenities
Situated next to the playground is a shaded seating area with picnic tables. The toilets are nearby as well as water bubblers. You’ll also find bench seats dotted throughout the playground.
Sporting area
Next to the playground is a large concreted area with a sports wall, so you can play ball games. It’s ideal to bring a racquet and balls to this park. Both sides of the wall can be used so there’s loads of space. Adjacent to this area is a basketball court with hoops.
Put Murrays Beach Playground on your to-do list, and see what your kids think.
