Small changes can create big impacts… Be part of the change! Got clothing, textiles, toys, carpentry, small electrical appliances, or even furniture that needs fixing? Don’t throw it out, repair it instead!
About Repair It Lake Mac
Run entirely by volunteers (with donations always welcome), Repair It Lake Mac is a welcoming space where people come together to breathe new life into their belongings. Launched in 2018, when repair cafés were still a fresh idea in Australia, it has since become a much-loved community hub. Every event sees more visitors and volunteers joining in.
✨ Fun Fact: So far, thousands of items have been repaired, saving over 2 tonnes of waste from landfill!
Community coming together
But it’s not just about fixing things. Repair It Lake Mac is about connecting people, sharing skills, and building friendships. Volunteers will guide you through the repair process so you can learn how to fix things yourself. Empowering you long after an event ends.

So why not drop by the next event? Bring something to repair, lend a hand, learn a skill, or simply enjoy a cuppa, a chat, and a slice of cake. The Sustainable Neighbourhood group is based out of the Landcare & Sustainable Living Centre in Booragul, however, the events are held in different locations around Lake Mac. To stay up to date:
