About Repair It Lake Mac

Run entirely by volunteers (with donations always welcome), Repair It Lake Mac is a welcoming space where people come together to breathe new life into their belongings. Launched in 2018, when repair cafés were still a fresh idea in Australia, it has since become a much-loved community hub. Every event sees more visitors and volunteers joining in.

Fun Fact: So far, thousands of items have been repaired, saving over 2 tonnes of waste from landfill!

Community coming together

But it’s not just about fixing things. Repair It Lake Mac is about connecting people, sharing skills, and building friendships. Volunteers will guide you through the repair process so you can learn how to fix things yourself. Empowering you long after an event ends.
