Kid’s love Wilkinson Park Playground in Cardiff!

Set amongst the trees, you’ll find Wilkinson Park Playground. A lovely little spot where kids can play while parents enjoy the surrounding greenery. With plenty of play equipment to keep them entertained, there’s lots to explore and enjoy. Find a shady spot beneath the trees, where you can settle in and watch the kids have fun. There is heavy traffic on Myall Road, but the park itself extends beyond the playground, allowing you to wander through the trees and past the undercover seating towards Winding Creek. It’s a peaceful setting that gives families a chance to enjoy some outdoor play surrounded by nature.

Finding your way to Wilkinson Park Playground

Wilkinson Park Playground is located along Myall Road in Cardiff, with convenient parking available along the main road that runs parallel to the park. Once you arrive, you’ll find more than just the playground, making it easy to settle in for a longer family visit. There are undercover picnic tables where you can enjoy a snack or lunch, as well as BBQ facilities if you’d like to cook up a family feast. Toilets and a tap are also available nearby, giving you everything you need for a relaxed visit.

Climb, swing and fly!

There’s plenty to discover at Wilkinson Park Playground, with a great mix of play equipment and plenty of open space for kids to run, explore and burn off some energy. Bring along a ball, or pack the bikes and scooters and head along the paved path near Winding Creek. Little climbers will especially enjoy making their way across the different climbing features, testing their balance, strength and agility as they go. With swings, including a baby swing, a slide, flying fox, climbing net, stepping stones, see-saw and monkey bars, there are plenty of ways to play and something to keep kids of different ages entertained.

Make a day of it

The playground equipment creates a fun little course for kids to navigate, or they can work on building their skills by learning to swing using their hands, climb the rope, and see who can travel fastest on the flying fox. Located right next to Cardiff Skate Park, it’s also a great spot to bring bikes and scooters, with a concrete path winding alongside the creek for even more exploring. With so much here to keep the kids active and amused, make sure you stop by Wilkinson Park Playground the next time you’re in the area.
