Allambee Park, playground, and shops at Valentine.

Well known for its ANZAC Day service, Allambee Park offers families a place to unwind and relax while the kids run and play. You could be catching up with friends or holding a birthday party. Kids will love the playground, and parents will love the cafes and convenience of the local strip shops. How to get to Allambee Park Playground

Heading along Croudace Bay Road, turn at the lights onto Tallawalla Road. Turn right into Dilkera Ave and follow it to the shops, park and playground. There’s parking opposite the shops, or you can park on the street around Allambee Park.

You’ll find plenty of room to throw a picnic rug, or choose one of the many tables and bench seats scattered around the park.

What you’ll find at Valentine

At the shops you’ll find local businesses serving coffee, a takeaway, and loads of options for lunch. You can grab a wrap, salad, or hot food from the IGA or cafes. You’ll also find a butcher, chemist, post office, hairdressers and bottle shop.

There is a large undercover BBQ area, perfect for big gatherings, a new toilet block and an awesome playground.

Allambee Park Playground

The nest swing is always full of kids laughing and playing. One of the best things about this playground is that it’s central to the park, so you can sit anywhere and still see the kids. Complete with a toddler swing and regular swing, this playground caters for all ages.

Younger kids will enjoy the climbing equipment as it’s very easy to navigate. With some stepping stones, a medium-sized slide and plenty of ways up and down, kids will have fun for hours. You’ll hear plenty of laughter coming from the small flying-fox as well.

Bring a soccer ball or hold a small game of cricket with friends. There’s plenty of green grass to enjoy! The gorgeous trees make for a great game of hide-and-seek as well.

Pack the picnic rug, hats and sunscreen, and call into Allambee Park Playground for a few hours. Arrive with an empty belly and choose from a wide selection of lunch or dinner options at the shops. A gorgeous atmosphere relaxing under the trees in a lovely part of Lake Mac. It’s one to add to your list of places to visit and support local first.
