Cool down this autumn with a family outing that’ll test your kid’s climbing, sliding and swimming skills. The Aquatic Challengers at Lake Mac Swim Centres are perfect for a family fun-filled day. Get wet, have fun and relax at one of three swim centres in our Lake Mac region. Take some lunch and enjoy a picnic or BBQ on the grassed areas surrounding the pools. Food and drinks are available from the kiosks.
Requirements for entry
Kids aged 6 years to 16 years are allowed on the Aquatic Challengers. If you attend the West Wallsend Swim Centre sessions, two additional restrictions are in place. You must be no taller than 160 cm and aged between 6 and 12 years old (no exceptions). All participants will be required to do a swim test before using the equipment. To pass the swim test, you must swim 15 metres unaided. No flotation devices are to be used on the challenge.
Costs and safety
The Aquatic Challenger public session fees are payable on top of the entry fee to the pool. The cost is $6.10 per child or you can pay a family fee of $12.20. The Aquatic Challengers public sessions don’t need to be booked in advance. A lifeguard and instructors are always present to monitor your safety.
