The new ATUNE Health Centre at Cardiff already has 18 health and medical services on location. Delivered by over 100 health and medical professionals and staff, who are dedicated to bringing integrated health care to our community. It’s taken Simon Ashley, the CEO of ATUNE, over 10 years and $10 million to bring his dream to life. Delivering a health model that’s convenient, integrated and holistic has finally become a reality for this Lake Mac entrepreneur.
Integrated health approach
So, what inspired Simon to develop this approach to medicine? Back in his university days, he suffered an acute medical condition, and from that experience, the idea of an integrated health centre was born. Simon is a practicing osteopath who started his business from his home in Eleebana 14 years ago. As he cared for his clients he found himself working alongside other health and medical professionals who believed in the advantage to the community of integrated health. It’s easy to think of a great idea but another matter entirely to execute it. Simon was driven and dedicated to his dream, and worked extremely hard to bring it to life.
What’s on offer?
Now, ten years later, Simon was excited to show us around. This huge medical centre is where Simon now spends most of his waking life. With a newly laid 77 space car park and 3450 square metres of floor space, this is an enormous setting. You’ll find 8 squash courts, Pilates and yoga facilities, a 25 metre hydrotherapy pool, which is due to be refurbished, plus a spa and sauna facility. It’s a massive feat of accomplishment. Simon is clearly still inspired and passionate about his vision. As he walked us through the facility like a proud tour guide, he explained all the benefits and opportunities offered with the specialised healthcare at ATUNE Cardiff.
