On the foreshore of gorgeous Belmont Bay you’ll find the Lions Park Playground. With so much to do and see, the Ship themed playground is the perfect place to start. Kids can spot all the sailing boats moored close by, look out for pirates and sail across the bay. Grab the family, a picnic rug, and some swimmers if the weather is right. See you at Belmont Bay.

Belmont Foreshore
Back in 2018, Belmont Baths and foreshore enjoyed a facelift. With a jetty, netted swimming area, landscaping and amenities, the foreshore has transformed into a family-friendly space. Whilst this area isn’t huge, the flat path, undercover area, and grassed banks, have become very popular with the local community. You’ll find a ping-pong table, showers, toilets, BBQ facilities, a coffee shop across the road, and plenty of seating.

Getting to Belmont Lions Park
Belmont Lions Park Playground is on Macquarie Drive, a direct turn off the Pacific Highway at Belmont. There is a small parking area on the foreshore or street parking. Another option is to park in the Coles car park and take the 2 min walk. It’s very popular when the weather is good, so plan your trip in advance.
Lions Park Playground
This playground is fully-fenced, and there is a table inside the area, so you can sit and keep an eye on your kids. The structure resembles a ship, has a double slide, climbing net, and tunnels to climb through. The kids will also find a nest swing, toddler swing, and a regular swing to play on. Plus a couple of smaller play stations for the little ones.

Lions Park Playground at Belmont is the bonus for a morning out with your family. Let the kids play and explore the foreshore, while you sit back and relax. The view across the bay is spectacular, that’s for sure. It’s also a great spot to watch a magic sunset across Lake Macquarie. Why not grab some fish & chips from the Coles complex and enjoy an early dinner?
