Christmas activities don’t get much better than this! Making something you can eat is the ultimate fun. These easy Christmas Biscuit Faces use simple ingredients with maximum festive fun. The only thing you need to monitor is that the kids don’t eat all the Jaffas before decorating, or you’ll be missing a few noses!
What biscuits work best?
Using biscuits and pretzels we already had in the pantry made this activity budget-friendly. You don’t need anything fancy; choose plain biscuits the kids enjoy eating. We used Ginger Snaps and inexpensive cream biscuits from Woolworths. The ginger flavour worked beautifully for Christmas, but you can mix and match to suit your family’s tastes. It’s a great way to use up pantry staples and leftover treats.
How to make Christmas Biscuit Faces
Melt your chocolate, then dip each biscuit halfway into the chocolate and lay it flat on a tray lined with baking paper. Make sure your tray fits in the fridge before you start! Add pretzels for antlers, Jaffas for noses or Santa hat pom-poms, and small chocolate drops or raisins for eyes. Honestly, anything goes! Let the kids come up with their own funny faces and festive characters. Once you’re happy with your creations, pop the tray in the fridge until the chocolate sets, then serve when you’re ready.
