For an animal experience like no other, head down to Iris Lodge on the Central Coast and immerse your family in farm life. When you arrive don’t be alarmed by the guard alpaca Billy, he’s just looking for his entry fee, a banana of course!
Day trip directions
Iris Lodge is located at 33 Dunks Lane, Jilliby 2259, roughly 45 min from East Lake Mac and 35 min from Morisset. Appointments are available for larger groups of up to 60 people. Plan your trip with the map below.
Animals at the farm
Iris Lodge is a place where the whole family can get up close and personal with a herd of over 100 alpacas and llamas. You’ll also meet over 40 wiltipoll sheep, Angus cows, horses, and of course Lola the amazing Maremma who guards the sheep.
Amazing animals
Owners Sharon and Sean started their farm many years ago with only 2 alpacas who are to this day, still inseparable. In 2020, they decided to share their gorgeous farm with others, so we could also enjoy these amazing animals.
Breakfast with alpacas
Enjoy a 1.5-hour experience with the alpacas, sheep, and cows, followed by a delicious breakfast with the alpacas. Don’t worry, you’ll be watching the alpacas, they won’t be eating off your plate!
Breakfast includes a selection of cereals, yoghurt, fruit platter, muffins, tea bread, bacon & egg sandwiches, tea, coffee, juice & water. Yes, there are gluten-free and vegan options as well.
Plan your visit
Iris Lodge Alpacas is a fun day out with the kids. There are lots of options and ways to enjoy your visit. The animals are of course the main attraction, but their story in conservation is nothing short of amazing. Protecting waterways by planting over 9,000 trees has attracted a wide range of native birds back to the area. Click through to Iris Lodge and follow them on Facebook to keep up to date with news on the farm.
