Neegulbah Park Playground is a big hit in Macquarie Hills

Perfectly shaded by nature, the Neegulbah Park Playground in Macquarie Hills is ready for action. Complete with bench seats and a few scattered tables, it’s a lovely spot to venture out and explore somewhere new. We loved this new design, both aesthetically and its functionality. Definitely a good spot to explore when you’re looking for somewhere new to visit.

Getting to Neegulbah Park Playground

You’ll find Neegulbah Park Playground nestled in the back streets in the popular suburb of Macquarie Hills. Make your way along Macquarie Road and turn into Wentworth Road. Take one more turn onto Lawson Road and follow it all the way through. You’ll find the playground at the end.

There is no designated car park, so you need to park on the road. Also no toilets unfortunately, so make sure the kids go before you leave home.

Climbers paradise

Nets, ladders, rope swings, climbing walls, and web walls are just some of the amazing ways kids can make their way up. Hours and hours of climbing fun on this main structure. They can then make their way down one of the slides depending on age and ability.

Obstacle course through nature

We loved the obstacle course. Kids can balance and weave their way through the course, and even time themselves. Set around a lovely gum tree, this course is perfect for kids of all ages.

Swing and ride fun

For the little kids who love to swing and ride, this playground has a mini-car, round-a-bout, and swing set. You’ll find a toddler swing, a normal swing, and a nest swing to choose from. With soft woodchips under their feet, kids can explore the natural area while enjoying the equipment.

Neegulbah Park Playground suprised us all. It’s a refreshing new design that your kids are going to love. Just remember to ask the kids to visit the toilet at home before they go!

Marks Oval Playground gets an upgrade and the kids love it!

This playground looks and feels different from a standard playground in Lake Macquarie. Built from a wood ‘look-a-like’ structure, it blends into the surroundings and natural landscape. It was interesting to hear the kids comment on its unique character as well, that’s why Marks Oval Playground is worth the visit.
