This November, the Civic Theatre Playhouse will transform into the magical Land of Oz. Hive Youth Theatre and more than 50 talented local young performers bring the beloved classic The Wizard of Oz (Youth Edition) to life on stage.
The yellow brick road
Audiences of all ages will be swept away on Dorothy’s unforgettable journey down the Yellow Brick Road. Dorothy is joined by her loyal companions, the Scarecrow, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion, Toto, Glinda the Good Witch, the Wicked Witch, and more. Witness dazzling costumes, show-stopping songs, and heartwarming performances. This production promises a theatre experience full of magic, music, and wonder.
A show of enchantment
Directed by Francesco Bertoni and Bridget Ponman, this enchanting show features talented young performers aged 7–15 from our local communities. These performers from Lake Macquarie and Newcastle are all bringing their energy and creativity to one of the world’s best-loved musicals.
