Surrounded on one side by a large grassy field, and on the other by basketball courts, you’ll find Bonnells Bay Playground. With enough play equipment to keep your kids busy, this is a great spot for the kids to burn some energy. There’s a Youth and Community Centre alongside this playground, as well as Bonnells Bay Skate Park.
Finding Bonnells Bay Playground
This playground is located at 275 Fishery Point Road, Bonnells Bay. Look for the entrance into the car park by the Youth and Community Centre. There’s enough parking for several cars.
Playground equipment
With a web net, cargo net, and rock wall this playground is a young climber’s delight. They can test their skills on the surfboard-shaped balance boards. Set up shop at the counter, and use the rings to calculate payment. A great way to practice counting skills.
There’s a slide, rocking horse, rocking fish, and the obligatory swings! One is a large nest swing perfect for a group of friends and there’s also a couple of single swings. Call a friend through the sound tubes and listen for their reply.
A few bench seats are scattered around the playground, as well as, water bubblers and toilets close by. Make sure you pack a picnic blanket as there’s plenty of space to sit on the grass and keep watch. Why not bring a ball for some soccer or basketball practice?
