You’ll find a soccer oval, skate park and this shady inviting playground for the kids. Watch the boats come and go in the channel and bring along a cuppa and a picnic rug. Getting to Chapman Oval Playground
You’ll find the Chapman oval complex on Channel Street, which runs along the inside of the channel at Swansea. Set among the trees, this playground has everything kids love to enjoy. You’ll find toilets at the playground, just at the side of the soccer clubhouse, which are open for public use. A bite to eat and a picnic would be a great addition to your outing. Once you relax, you might want to stay awhile or even take the kids for a walk along Swansea channel and under the bridge.
Playing at Swansea Channel
This playground has recently been upgraded by our council. Who wouldn’t love swinging and watching the water traffic go by? With a big tube slides, two swings, a nest swing, and lots of smaller toddler aged equipment, visiting with a sibling or a friend makes for the perfect catch-up.
This side of Swansea channel offers much more than the playground. Throw the bikes, scooters, or pram in the car, and take a stroll along the Swansea channel walk all the way down to the Swansea Bridge. Order some fish and chips and sit and take in this amazing spot in Lake Mac.
