Creating a cozy Christmas atmosphere is easy with DIY Mason Jar Candles. The warm, flickering light inside each jar brings the holiday spirit to life, and you can add your personal touch with favourite songs or decorations. These handmade candles are not only easy to make but also budget-friendly. Perfect for using jars you already have and spreading festive cheer throughout your home.
What You’ll Need
- Mason jars (or any jars you have on hand). We picked ours up from Kmart.
- FREE Christmas sheet music (downloadable from Google search).
- Twine for tying and decorating.
- Christmas shapes to trace — cookie cutters work perfectly.
- Decorations like herbs, pinecones, or other festive accents from your garden.
Instructions
- Pick your sheet music and shape. Decide which Christmas song you want to feature and which shape you’d like to trace.
- Measure and cut your sheet music. Measure the circumference of your jar and trim the sheet so it wraps neatly around.
- Create your “window.” Plan where you want your shape to appear on the jar, then carefully cut it out. You may need to join multiple sheets of paper depending on the size of your jar.
- Assemble your sheet music around the jar. Glue the edges of the sheet music together, but avoid gluing it directly to the jar so you can adjust it as needed.
- Add twine to the top of the jar. Wrap and tie it securely, leaving enough length to attach decorations and the swing tag.
- Attach your tag and decorations. Gently tie them next to the “window” you’ve created for a charming, personalized touch.
