Small TALK speech therapy

The Small TALK speech therapy clinic was created in 2011 with a mission to improve the lives of families with Neurodivergent children. We have clinics in Mayfield and Lakelands (Warners Bay).

Our practice is well known for providing services in the areas of early intervention, neurodivergent affirming support and AAC to help children connect and communicate with others. Our team of speech pathologists are passionate about delivering effective evidence based services that value and respect every child's unique strengths and communication preferences.

Neurodiverse Affirming Practice

With a greater understanding of the impacts on sensory and emotional regulation on Autistic (and human) communication, we have adopted a Neurodiversity-affirming paradigm. This means we accept that ALL brains and people are unique and this diversity is what makes our community whole.

As such we work with individuals and their families to:

1. Meet them where they are

2. Build strong and meaningful relationships valuing the child's interests and strengths 3. Support each person to work towards their own goals, in a way that suits them best

4. Collaborate with other professionals to ensure the best environmental supports for individual leaners
