You’ll find this skate park at Pasterfield Sports Complex, tucked between the playground and the BMX track. With a bowl, quarter pipe and downrails, there are plenty of features for skateboarders, scooter riders and BMX riders. The park caters well to a range of abilities, making it a great place for beginners to build confidence. It also still offers more experienced riders the chance to challenge themselves and improve their skills.
Directions to the skate park
You’ll find two car parks located at Pasterfield Sports Complex on Horizon Avenue at Cameron Park, making it easy to find a spot when you arrive. One car park is located close to the netball courts, while the main car park is beside the clubhouse. From the parking areas, it’s a short walk through the complex to reach the skate park, which is located between the playground and BMX track. With plenty of other facilities nearby, you can easily visit the skate park as part of a bigger day out at Pasterfield Sports Complex.
Something for all skill levels
The bowl is quite deep, so younger or less experienced riders may need to build up their confidence before taking the plunge. Next to the bowl, there’s a flatter area with a slope leading down to the quarter pipe, making it a good spot to learn the basics before progressing to the deeper bowl. There are also street-style rails for riders to practise their skills and work on new tricks. Make sure kids wear a helmet and appropriate protective gear, and let them build their confidence at their own pace.
