Have you been to the Redhead Pump Track?

As we saw the sun rising above the pump track at Redhead there were squeals of delight from the kids. With 150 metres of track featuring twists, turns, rises, and falls that put your skills to the ultimate test. We knew straight away this was a winner. With bikes ready, they headed in for the ride of their lives!

Directions to the pump track

Turn off Kalaroo Road onto Brown Street. Follow this road down until the T junction. Turn left onto Steel Street. Take the first right-hand turn onto Beach Road. Follow this road and you’ll see the car park entrance to the beach on the right-hand side. Park close to the entrance of the car park.

Industry-leading design

Sat on the right-hand side of the car park to the beach at Redhead, the $450,000 pump track created by Velosolutions has been designed following consultation with the community. Set perfectly overlooking Redhead Beach the track is designed to challenge even the most skilled rider.

Bikes, scooters and skateboards!

Whatever your wheels, bring them with you because this track caters to bikes, skateboards, and scooters. With bench seating, an undercover area, and a water fountain, settle in and stay for a while. There’s even a bike repair station with a pump and various tools that can be used to do any quick fixes.

Enjoy Redhead Beach views

While this car park is popular, you’ll find lots of parking in the main beach car park. There are toilets close by at the Surf Life Saving Club, and a cafe to grab a coffee, and a bite to eat.

Finish off your visit with a walk along the beach, take a photo of the shark tower, and keep an eye out for whales or just chill and watch the surfers. You can head for a play at Webb Park and a walk along Owen’s Walkway which are located within a 5 min walk.

There’s so much to enjoy in Lake Mac! Check out our Out & About section for more inspiration.
