Enjoy a lakeside play at Warners Bay!

Overlooking our beautiful Lake is Warners Bay playground. Recently upgraded in 2018 and beautifully landscaped with two separate areas for play. This playground remains a favourite for local families and seasonal visitors. With an abundance of convenient street parking and a car park located in John Street, just behind the park, makes it an easy place to visit. While you’re here why not wander into Warners Bay to enjoy lunch or a coffee and grab your groceries?

There are three ways you can enter the playground. Through the security gate on Lake Road, on The Esplanade, or from the car park on John Street. The park is now fully fenced making it a safer environment for your kids of all ages, especially the little ones.

Toddlers Play

The play area closest to Lake Road caters for younger children. There’s soft foam flooring underneath the play equipment in case your child has a tumble. Their imagination will take them on the high seas in the little red boat. They’ll also be able to play shop or home life on the other equipment. A roundabout, baby swing and small slide will provoke a sense of adventure. Don’t forget to bring chalk so your little one can add their artistic flair on the playground chalkboard.

You’ll find undercover picnic tables where you can park a stroller in the shade and have your morning tea. These are also located inside the fenced play area.

Who’s king of the castle?

On the other side of the park is a larger play area for older kids. Underneath the play equipment is woodchip to soften any fall. There’s a climbing structure that includes nets, a small bridge, a fireman’s pole, and two slides of varying height. Your child can climb up and feel like they’re the King of the Castle!

A large round swing that seats several children is always a favourite. The kids can swing for hours on one of six swings. These include two toddler seats and a twin swing that two kids can enjoy together. Kids also love the climbing net, perfect for encouraging fine motor skills.

Shaded picnic tables

Located next to the park is also an undercover area that has picnic tables and seating. Toilets are conveniently located in the playground as well. With a nice grassy area for young children to run around, this park ticks all the boxes.

Warners Bay & beyond

Once you’ve finished your play at Warners Bay playground, head over the road to Warners Bay foreshore for a bike ride, scooter, or stroll along the lake. Maybe go for a walk out on the jetty, or spot some of the statues scattered around the foreshore. There’s even a ping pong table and you can hire boats from the shop opposite.

If your kids like a little more adventure, why not plan a visit further along the lake at Speers Point Park. With so much on offer, it’s definitely another must-visit destination for kids.
